Nursing Orientation (NRS)
NEW EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION (NEO) DAY 1
When:
NEO Day 1 is scheduled every Monday. (If the Monday is a holiday, NEO will be held on Tuesday).
Time:
NEO Day 1 begins promptly at 8 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m.
Where:
NEO Day 1 is located at the PPH Learning Center at 418 Grand Avenue, Escondido, CA 92025. Upon arrival you will be directed to the appropriate classroom.
Things to know:
- You must arrive by 8 a.m. If you are more than 10 minutes late without contacting Human Resources to let someone know, you will be asked to reschedule. Contact information is provided below.
- Parking can be a challenge, as there is very limited parking near the Learning Center; however we have provided alternate parking arrangements for your convenience and we strongly encourage you to take advantage of it. Please review the parking information link below prior to your Orientation date.
- You will receive your employee parking decal during Orientation. Please bring your vehicle license plate number(s).
- Your photo will also be taken for your I.D. badge.
- Human Resources will provide you with a $5 coupon for lunch at the cafeteria at PMC.
- You must attend NEO before you begin work with PPH. If you need to reschedule your Orientation date, please contact your HR Employment Specialist. Contact information is provided below.
- You will be paid for NEO.

NEW EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION (NEO) DAY 2
When:
NEO Day 2 is on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month.
Time:
NEO Day 2 begins promptly at 8 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m.
Where:
NEO Day 2 is located at the PPH Learning Center at 418 Grand Avenue, Escondido, CA 92025. Upon arrival you will be directed to the appropriate classroom.
Things to know:
- NEO Day 2 is an interactive Orientation.
- Working in a group, you will discuss the different fundamentals that you have learned about PPH during your first 30 days.
- On NEO Day 2, you have the opportunity to meet our CEO, Michael Covert or another PPH Leader.
- You are strongly encouraged to attend NEO Day 2 as scheduled with your Recruiter. If you are unable to attend as scheduled, please be aware that you must attend NEO Day 2 within 45 days of employment. If you do not attend within that timeframe, you will not be allowed to work and will be placed on a leave of absence.

NURSING ORIENTATION (NRS)

When:
Nursing Orientation dates vary and will be scheduled at the time of your offer.
Time:
Nursing Orientation begins promptly at 8 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m.
Where:
Nursing Orientation is currently held at Palomar Medical Center (555 East Valley Parkway, Escondido, CA 92025), on the lobby floor in the computer classroom. By end of October 2011, Nursing Orientation will be scheduled at the PPH Learning Center located at 418 Grand Avenue, Escondido, CA 92025. You will be informed about the location at the time of your offer.
Things to know:
- Nursing Orientation is a 4-day orientation. Depending on your position, you may or may not be required on all 4 days. This will be discussed at the time of your offer.
- During Nursing Orientation, you will learn the different hospital systems including Cerner, Electronic Medical Record system, nursing policies and procedures, etc.
